Miss Hina Vora was a pioneering figure in India’s financial markets and a woman of extraordinary resolve, integrity, and vision. She came from a family with a deep association with the Ahmedabad Stock Exchange, where both her father and grandfather had served with distinction. Inspired by this legacy, she set out to make her own mark in the world of stockbroking.

Her professional journey began modestly with a small photocopy shop, but her ambitions reached far beyond. When she applied for an individual membership with the Ahmedabad Stock Exchange in the early 1980s, her application was denied on the basis that a lady could not enter the share bazaar. Undeterred by this gender bias, she launched a determined effort, writing to various authorities, including the Finance Ministry. After more than a year of persistent follow-ups, she succeeded in prompting a change in ASE’s regulations and, in 1982, became the first lady share broker in India.

She was a regular and respected presence in the outcry market, which was then overwhelmingly male-dominated. Known for her courage and professional ethics, she built strong relationships across the financial sector. She was individually connected to over 18 regional stock exchanges for inter-market trades, greatly enhancing her clients' access to diversified opportunities.

Later, she co-founded Goldmine along with Mr. Kirit Vassa in 1994, and the company went on to secure a membership with the National Stock Exchange (NSE) —India’s first online trading exchange. She transitioned her membership from an individual capacity to Goldmine, reinforcing the firm’s presence in India's evolving capital markets.

Miss Vora believed deeply in doing business with values. Her guiding principle—"Integrity and honesty first, business later"—remains the cornerstone of Goldmine’s culture.

Today, Goldmine proudly serves over 60,000 retail and HNI investors in stockbroking, Demat, and investment advisory services—a living tribute to the strength and foresight of Miss Hina Vora.

Shri Kiritbhai Vassa is the co-founder of Goldmine, and a visionary whose dedication, discipline, and deep-rooted values have been instrumental in shaping the company since its inception in 1994. With a rare combination of business acumen and social conscience, he co-founded Goldmine alongside Late Miss Hina Vora, helping establish a strong foundation of trust, client-centric service, and long-term financial growth for investors.

Beyond the world of finance, Kiritbhai is also widely respected for his lifelong commitment to humanitarian causes. He co-founded Project Life in 1978, a non-profit organization dedicated to healthcare, education, women empowerment, and environmental sustainability. His leadership in both business and social service reflects his unique belief in creating value not just for clients, but for society at large.
